1. Fairwater, the Fairfax family's two-storey waterfront home 
(circa 1881) on the shores of Seven Shillings Beach (at Point 
Piper) has been in the family for more than 100 years and that 
property is considered Sydney's best.

1. Little Milton, 26 Albany Road, Toorak. An iconic Toorak
mansion, situated on Albany Road (with 60m frontage) and
the corner of Whernside Avenue. In excess of $12 million

2. The Hermitage estate at Vaucluse,seriously damaged by 
a fire in 1936, was restored by Emil Sodersten - home of John and Merivale Hemmes, valued at $30m.

  • Now Campion College, 99 Studley Park Road, Kew; 
    designed by Architects Ussher and Kemp.
  • It was built in 1906 as a home for S.W. Gibson of the 
    firm Foy and Gibson, Drapers, of Melbourne and was 
    originally called Dalswraith.
  • This two-storey house with attic rooms is an impressive 
    example of the style known in Melbourne at that time 
    as Old English, now known also as later Queen Anne 
    (without Gothic elements).

  • The Ginahgulla Road house, set on a 3300 square metre block with lawn tennis court and pool, was built in 1885 for Charles
    B. Fairfax, the grandson of 
    Herald founder John Fairfax.
  • Caerleon, which was designed in London by Maurice Adams, is the earliest example of Queen Anne Revival in Sydney.
